Good luck Zach. I’ll be hitting the wipers myself this weekend here in eastern Neb.
August 2, 2007 at 7:46 pm #596503Once you go wiper, you will never look at life the same. They are expensive to stock but they are something else to catch.
August 2, 2007 at 8:05 pm #596511Drop a bowling ball in the bath tub and thats what a topwater strike looks like then take your bass rod and tie the line to the neighbors pitbull and that is the fight. They can tear up more than most saltwater fish. They will hit a 5″ topwater and blow it off the water. They will eat 1/4# shad and alewive whole in one strike.AWESOME FISH…
August 2, 2007 at 8:43 pm #596530Here ya go Chappy. This is a Wiper. You’ve got white bass up on the Mississippi (some of you call them stripers but they are whites). These are a white crossed with a Striper.
Zach and Ben, Looking forward to many reports on the Wiper fishing from here on out.
