    I was reading about the walleye/sauger population damage from releasing fish caught in deep water. Does the size of the fish being targeted for matter? Or species? When fishing for the 20++ # cats if caught in 30+ FOW will this kill them if released? I am contemplating fishing a deep hole below a dam for flatheads this year but don’t want to be killing fish.

    I believe the flathead swim bladder can release gas build up like a lake trout, but wait for others to confirm this. So essentially you can pull a flathead up for deep water without killing it….I think.
