I’m going to be vacationing near Pine River in July and would like some information on fishing the Pine River to the White Fish Chain of lakes. Though I doubt there are any serious reports to be had, I would also be interested in any fishing information from the small lake – Horseshoe Lake which is northeast of Pine River. Thanks!!!!

    HEY LEW,
WHAT TYPE OF FISH ARE YOU LOOKING FOR? I HAVE FISHED HORSESHOE A FEW TIMES. SOLID BASS ACTION WITH AVERAGE SIZE ON THE SMALL SIZE. HAVE YET TO CATCH A WALLEYE WITH ABOUT 3 OR 4 GOOD DAYS OUT THERE THE LAST COUPLE OF YEARS. THEY ARE HARD TO FIND, BUT THEY SAY THERE ARE A LOT OF MARBLE EYES IN THERE. A SMALLER LAKE NEAR THE WHITE FISH CHAIN THAT I HAVE HAD CONSISTANT WALLEYE ACTION IS UPPER HAY LAKE. ALOT OF 15-19 INCHERS. AVERAGE SIZE BASS IS LARGER BUT NOT ABUNDANT. MISSION LAKES ARE GREAT FOR BASS.

Thanks for the info Riggy, I lean towards bass fishing, but have never been overly picky about what I find at the end of my line.
