I left early Sat. morning for Rogers Cabelas. Ended up purchasing a Sitka Nimbus rain outfit. A sitka Core layer, Base Layer, and a Celsius Jacket. Yikes. Purchased 2 new Sea to Summit Waterproof Compression Sacks, 1 Large can of Mountain House Chicken and Rice, and (6) 2 serving packets of Mountain House.

Then proceeded to REI in Maple Grove, where I picked up a Sea to Summit portable shower, and a Black Diamond Orbit Lantern. What a couple of gems. Shower is 10 liters and comes in at 4.25 oz, and provides an 8 minute shower. The little orbit light, comes in at 3 oz, and is just perfect for hanging in the tent.

Sunday consisted of a core workout, then 4.2 miles on the treadmill at 8:23 pace. Should have went outside just didn’t feel like getting wet.

Hit the ridges and valleys of Buffalo County last week. Now I need to get back to the health club on a regular basis….starting TONIGHT! I feel like sh*t when I miss my work outs!

Friday morning, I did the hills outside of town, started @ 5:00, early enough to hear the gobbling. 5 miles at a 9:11 pace.

Did a short 2.6 run on Saturday night, at the cabin, with a stiff 15 mph wind off the lake, brrr.
