    I only know of the gentleman through the Head 2 Head series but he was also a very accomplished guide on the river. It’s always a sad thing when a young person leaves the world. RIP Mike

    I thought he had been battling Covid. Sad news indeed.

    I’ve fished against him in some local tournaments. I saw him often out on Illinois river and Heidecke lake. Always friendly.

    I saw through social media that he was hospitalized due to COVID. Battled for roughly 60 days. They even had him sitting up a few times a couple weeks ago, but then his oxygen numbers dropped dramatically again.
