Shack City

It’s been a bit since I’ve been out, and wow, are there a lot of shacks this year. Curious if it’s a convenience thing, or if fishing has been decent.

I picked up my son after school yesterday, and it’s sure nice to take advantage of the warm up. Got into some crappies right away, and it stayed steady until close to dark. Kept these 8 between 11 1/2″ and 12 1/2″, but threw a number back in that same size range. Some smaller of course and one slab pushing 14″ that was released.

Nice slabs Chris! There are quite a few shacks out there aren’t there. Everyone pulled out of our village a week or 2 ago. It has been nice without all of the traffic. We’ve had a pretty consistent walleye bite at night. Noting huge but much better than the years past.

Look out Russ!!!! They are coming back!!
