Master Power Cutoff

Years ago I had a boat fire related to a foot trim switch being turned on by a cooler that slid. Long story short I installed a master power cutoff switch to the battery.

I would like to do this to my 24v trolling motor setup.

    Question:
I have the two trolling motor batteries in series. I also have a three bank charger and each battery has it’s own charging lead.

Where do I install the master switch in the battery series such that all power is cutoff to both the trolling motor and the charger (I know it’s not supposed to draw)? Do I need more one for this?

    Thx!

Is the goal to prevent the trolling motor from running? If so just unplug it after each use.

I currently do that. More piece of mind given the fire I had years ago.

I use something as simple as this. It’s pretty straight forward on how you connect it.
