Converting a gps file?

A friend emailed me a waypoint list in .gpx format. I was able to load it in my Lowrance, and the waypoints show up on the screen. However, I can’t get them to load in my MapCreate 7 on the computer. The drive shows they are on the card, but if I try to load them or import them it says to download GDM and load it there and resave it as a .usr file. I tried that and still no luck, any suggestions. I would really like to view this on a 20″ screen for making routes etc. Thanks

If the waypoints are on your Lowrance unit, couldn’t you just save the waypoints from the unit to the card? That should create the .usr file needed for MapCreate.
