I installed a HDS-7 using my existing lcx power supply. I also connected it to the network and to an EP-1 which is connected to an LBS-1. I’m not seeing my other devices on the network on the HDS-7 and my LMF-200 is no loner working either. Anyone have any ideas. Thanks!

with the hds you have to run a seperate power supply for the networking. hope it helps a little

As the previous poster said, you need to power the network seperately. The part you need to make it work is this:

    N2K-PWR-RD Part # 119-75

Power cable. Comes with a T connector. For use with red NMEA network.

So a HDS unit won’t power a network when used with a PC-27BL
    power cable?

    Thanks!

Nope, there is no bridge in the HDS units to power the network through the power cable like the previous generation Lowrance units had.

If you are going to continue to use that power cable, (which is OK) DO NOT power the 2nd set of red and black wires that is labeled for the NMEA network. Disconnect them from the battery. Then use the power node I listed above in the previous post to power your network.

The new HDS power cables only have 1 set of red/black wires.

Thanks for the info Steve and Jim!!

I knew I should have set up my network with it’s own power supply from the get go.
