I just purchased a used 522C and I want to run my chart on the HDS7 and my graph on the 522C. Can I connect them with an ethernet cable or network cable and run it like this or do I have to set up each one separately?

You can run them separate unless you want to share saved waypoints between the two.
March 17, 2013 at 9:56 pm #1153124I don’t have the transducer for 522C will the HDS transducer work or do I need to get one for the 522C?
March 17, 2013 at 10:08 pm #1153127Also if the two units are connected via ethernet cable will they each show the same thing(if i have the sonar page on one will it have the sonar page on the other), or can I have the sonar page on one and the chart on the other?
March 17, 2013 at 10:19 pm #1153129Yes your HDS tranducer will work with the LMS unit.
You can view the sonar on the HDS via ethernet or you can
set it to the chart page.Mapping data is not shared between the two.

Make sure your 522c is running the 2.5 software version.
I think this update was needed for ethernet capabilities.

May 30, 2013 at 1:17 am #1174263I have a map chip I bought in 2012 works great in the HDS7, but I can’t get it to work in the LMS 522C. I tried changing the navionics data, but the only option is Lowrance. Am I looking in the right place? How do I get it to work or is the chip too new?
Thanks,
Zach
