    I recently bought a boat with a X51 Lowrance locator on it. When I power up the locator the back light comes on but there is no pixellation. I have already reset the unit to its factory setting. Any advice would be great.

    get a color unit, same size as what U have would B

    I have this same unit(x51). Try to do a hard reset. Go to the lowrance website to download the instructions on how to do it. I don’t remember how to do it for sure or I would give you that information.

    Unfortunately this is a unit that is not serviced any longer because of it’s age. Sounds like the software crashed or the screen failed.

    You can find a newer used legacy unit for a decent price as Lowrance guys who are upgrading to the new HDS units are selling the older units they have on their boats.
