I was wondering if anybody could tell me why my pump is so loud?

My under house sump pump was loud for a few reasons. The drain pipe was strapped tight to the under side of the floor joists. It should hang in a saddle. The drain pipe also had no air gap or vent. Lastly, it was installed under a bedroom so I had to build an insulated box around the pump it self.
if that is the means to keeping your basement dry then i would just replace it. if the old pump is acting abnormal at all, a flooded basement isn’t worth the risk when just replacing the pump is fairly cheap and easy.
If it’s greater than 15 years old, I’d follow LundZ71’s advise and replace it. Cheap insurance.
ejector pump. we have a bathroom in the basement sorry for the wrong title

It almost sounds like a GI Joe, lego block, or some kind of feminine product got flushed down the toilet,,,

It’s hard to tell over the internet. I would put your hand on the check valve when it runs and see if you can feel it rattling
Doesn’t sound good to me. How old is the pump? Sounds like the pump is trying to grind up something that shouldn’t be in the tank.
I am not sure how old the pump is. it makes the noise when the pump is about to shut off

It’s hard to tell from the video.
Start simple first. Inspect the check valve, could have a solid stuck or a defective flapper. Then check the pumps impeller for something stuck there.
i took the pump out today. i found a piece of plastic by the pump impeller. here is what it sounds like now.
Almost sounds like the pump runs dry at the end of the cycle. Maybe float adjustment??

When I pulled the sump pump out after my new house was built, 3-4 wire nuts fell out of it. Lazy electrician just kicked them into the pit,,,,
