Lake Erie (open water)

    Posting to see if anyone close to lake Erie can give me a report on ice conditions. Last I heard they didn’t have good ice and with this unseasonably warm 15 day forecast Myself and couple buddies are thinking that if a guy can get a boat in next weekend (19th-22nd) we would make the trip down. Any info is greatly appreciated.

    I would go to http://www.walleye.com under the western basin fishing reports and post. Always had good help from there on it. Couple good bait shops in the area may help as well. Looked at a web cam this am, and Catawba was iced in. While the lake may be open, guessing launches may not be?
