Lake City barge traffic??

    I heard rumor today barge traffic has commenced on Lake Pepin??? Is this true?

    Well…I don’t see anything but one lone tug around Alma Michael G and she hasn’t moved for over 4 hours.

    Lasts Tuesday they were reporting 26″ (10″ of white and 16″ of blue ice) of ice on Pepin in the thickest spots. But since I’m not down there…

    According to the corps website, there was still 10-26″ of ice in some spots (mainly south of Lake City) on Wednesday of this week. I’ll be down that way tomorrow, but I have a hard time believing they’re busting through that already.

    It was hard for me to believe with the ice this year. My source must have seen the staging below the lake. Thanks.

    This wind pushed the ice completely out of hok si la bay and burger king bay. Its diminishing fast
