Winter options……….snowmobiles

I love boating up in the Park. Can get some nice photo’s. Now I would like to make a winter trip and photo the same area’s.

I know Ash-Ka-Nam rents snowmobiles. Is there anywhere else I could check?

I’m not sure yet where I would stay. Maybe a cabin, maybe just grab a motel room in I-Falls. Most likely will depend on where I rent the sled.

Idea’s??

I’d stay right there at Ash Ka Nam. They have “motel” rooms right across from the bar. Some of my friends have stayed there and the rooms were nice. Just don’t pick a big weekend like MLK or Pres Day. The bar gets fairly busy and you’ll hear and see sleds until 1 am.

Winter is a great time to see the area. My friends and I plan a trip to Ash River in late Feb or early March every year. The weather is usually nice and the crowds are smaller. Mainly locals are on the trails.

The only other place I know for sure that rents sleds is Voyagaire Lodge on Crane Lake.
