The walleyes are going very good out at the inlet right now. Slow presentations on jig and twister tail. Half of the inlet is frozen, but the walleyes and saugers are stacked in there.

THANKS for the report Matt. That would certainly break up a poor waterfowl hunt nicely too!!! Welcome to IDA.
I don’t think a whole lot. I watched a guy next to me catch a walley on 12 consecutive casts. rnaging for 10 to 20 inches
It don’t sound like the weather will hold for ice fishing this weekend without going north. I might have to make a trip down for some inlet eyes!!! It’s been a couple of years since I’ve been down there for this.
Looks like maybe Greg and I will go up there on Sat instead of heading down to KS. Will you be there, Matt or Trev?
The fishing is still good, but you have to wade through the little ones. I might be out on Saturday afternoon and most likely this afternoon.
I will be the 1st person to tell you, THERE IS NOTHING HITTING AT THE INLET RIGHT NOW! I was over there this morning and someone let a bunch of MAD ditch parrots along with a bunch of itch mites loose!
Be VERY afraid to go over there!
Went back over there again this morning and it was just crazy! Along with the mad ditch parrots and itch mites, someone released a TON of steroid fed QUAIL Let me tell you one thing, them things were HUGE!!!!!!!!!!
Come on Greg!!
The least you can do is send some pictures of the mad ditch parrots, itch mites and the Quail I want proof!
Couldn’t get a good pic cause they would try to attack my camera flash!
Think I might go back over but will be packing a little bigger jig this time.
Be careful Greg, with this warm weather those pesky itch mites could get real bad!!
Slow – Slow – Slow not Ho – Ho – Ho
Saw 10 walleyes caught 1 long enough to keep.
Slow – Slow – Slow
But beautiful weather.
