Made it out to Elwood this weekend. I haven’t been there in about 10 years, but had seen several pictures of what the drought had done to it, so it was good to see the water level back up.

We couldn’t keep the pike off our lines long enough to fish for anything else. But I had my kids with me so they had a blast. You could catch them 4 or 5 casts in a row at times.

Good to hear about Elwood. Is it …… full????? How was boat ramp?
    Any walleye? Wipers?
    Did you fish Johnson too?

Thinking about heading out there this weekend, maybe Sherman.

So what size are the pike now?

It is full so the boat ramp is easy to use. No walleye but we did catch a few wipers trolling in 40 FOW.

    Didn’t make it to Johnson.

The Pike were anywhere from 12-27 inches.

I’ll bet that the <20 foot of water range is full of trees and almost impossible to fish. How is the boat traffic on the lake? Haven’t been there in 3 years – but it is a beautiful area.

We did lose quite a few lures in the trees. But it was worth it they are loaded with fish.

On Friday evening only 3 trailers in the lot, but on Saturday probably 30.
