What do you guys do with your inflatable life jackets over winter? Is hanging it in the basement good enough, or should I remove the charging cylinder?

The correct answer is to “follow the manufacturer’s recommendations”.

I place mine on a hanger.
    Wash the outer shell.
    Wipe down the vests.
    Remove the Co2 cartridge.
Check to see if I have enough “pills” still sealed for next year, order some if I don’t.

In the spring, they are manually blow up and watched for 24 hours to ensure there isn’t a leak before being put back into service.
