how do you guys/gals fish reefs while ice fishing? The lake i fish all the walleye are caught on the reefs but how do you fish them? dead stick, jig? How do you approach a lake with reefs is my main question

My method on new water would be to work up and down the reef edge covering water with jigging spoons and heads. With a vex or marc you will be able to tell if there are lookers. Keep in mind lookers might be perch, so sometimes i keep an ice fly rod handy to help decipher. other times they are eyes and just want a presentation change. once i get a spot i like i might set up the house and then i will drop a dead stick. so, keep on the move up and down and change up the presentation size, shape and color. – Luck, Mark

cut a grid pattern covering as much of the structure as possible and dont forget to punch a few just off the structure.
