Has anyone heard how the ice or bite is in the Wabasha area backwaters? I have some items to pick up near there so I might as well fish.

I saw a guy testing it with a spud bar yesterday when I went by. On my way back I saw him dragging a shack. I couldn’t tell you how much ice there is, especially with all this snow now

I feel the best advice here is to tell you to NOT be the trail blazer. There’ll always be someone with a couple less smarts willing to take a chance at finding out what the ice will bear. No evidence of foot traffic, don’t fish it.
