Does anyone know how these are measured? We have been doing very well using these for mid day sauger and I would like to order some more. Unfortunately, most of the stores in my area have completely cleared out their ice fishing inventory so I can not compare them in person. I don’t have the old packaging or receipts either. My options are 1.25″, 1.5″ or 2″. Thanks for the help.

They are measured in centimeters from end to end, including the hooks. So a #9 jigging Rap (9 centimeters) is about 3 1/2″ long.

The Rap in the picture is a #5. Hope this helps…

I was just curious if you were putting any meat on the jigging raps or fishing them bare?

I believe it’s the body length only. That looks like a w3, glow perch. If it helps, Walmart stocks that color/size.

Have you tried the jigging Shad Raps as well? Some times the shad profile works well.

We always try it with no meat first and then switch if needed. It varies from day to day. Thanks for the info guys!

thats a W5. They are measured from hook to hook in cm.

Conversion from inches to centimeters is 2.54 centimeters per inch!

Just to update, I ordered both the 3’s and 5’s and they were actually the 3’s in 3/16 oz. The 5’s aren’t much bigger and should work as well.

Night Eyes… Noticed you have a single hook instead of a treble. In your experience, does this give you better hook ups? As has been previously discussed, I have gone up (1) size treble on all my Raps.

The picture is misleading, the treble is tucked under the measuring tape.

OK, thought maybe I’d learn a different technique.
