When fishing if the lure is closer than 2′ feet to the transducer, anything for that matter, it wont mark it, i know this isnt a huge deal but i just got it and i dont think that should happen. Any info on this?

They are all like that. Why are you fishing 2′ below the ice and need to mark your jig? Look down the hole.

EkezPosts: 80January 4, 2014 at 5:06 pm #1376796I hear ya…but they don’t. More than likely the reason is because the 20* cone at 2 foot down has a footprint of about 4 inches. Your jig ain’t in the cone.
January 4, 2014 at 6:06 pm #1376807As mentioned all graphs are like that with “surface clutter”. Wether it is interference from echo reflecting off ice or even in summer on boats it does the same, what causes it exactly beat me. Its just how it is.

January 5, 2014 at 10:26 am #1376921What colors does this unit have? Does it have the green, yellow, and red like a true color or is it red, yellow, and orange? Looking at getting one of these.
January 5, 2014 at 10:56 am #1376935Is it easy to differentiate the colors like on the true color or is it different?
January 5, 2014 at 11:28 am #1376941The Marcum VX-1P has a very easy to read display of green yellow and red.
