Auger leaking gas

    I have an 85 jiffy mo 30. I’ve had the carb replaced 2 yrs ago. This year I’ve noticed that the exhaust port is wet with gas (not dripping). When I am cutting holes then I notice the auger dripping gas from the exhaust port. I don’t know if it’s normal or what the problem is.

    Are you sure it is gas and not oil? What mix are you running? It should be 40:1 not 24:1

    I’m not sure now I guess. I mix one of the small jiffy oils with one gallon of gas. That could be my problem.

    3.2 oz oil to gallon of gas is 40:1. 2.6 oz bottle is 50:1 if believe.

    could be the float sticking a little as I don’t think that model would have a diaphragm
