Spending money on your favorite Hobbie

I see that some people think that spending some big money on panfish reels is absurd.
Ok here goes,if you have the money and you want to buy it,go ahead and get it. I like to have nice things to play with to.
This is a hobby and I know for fact that there are not a lot of people who make a profit on their hobby, unless you are a pro.
Get what you want because there will be a day when you will be glad you did. Fatfish (Jerry)

Once you go “pro” it no longer becomes a “hobby”

I think most advise weather… “do you need it versus do you want it”.

Does higher end equipment help you catch more fish ?

With some people “yes” with some others “no”.
One must learn how to use the higher end equipment to their advantage first.

But I do agree if you want that higher end reel/rod then buy it.
I build most all my own rods and they are made of the “best” blanks because I can and want to and most have some of “best “reels on the market on them.

So I agree..if you want that “big money” reel/rod and you can afford it,you go buy it and enjoy it !

I think it is absurd that other people are concerned with what other people buy. It ain’t my business.

I do think though that people giving advice on higher end equipment is good. People might save some money of someone has experience in say 2 similar pieces of equipment or models where one is higher end. That advice may save you money because some of the higher end features might not be applicable to the person looking to make the purchase.

If this is about the fish 13 reel thread I don’t get where anyone said anything bad about buying high end equipment of any kind, If it wasn’t please direct me to the thread because I don’t see anyone talking bad about any highend equipment. ????
