My father is loosing his fight with Cancer, after visiting him again this past weekend he has rapidly declined from a week earlier.

It would be greatly appreciated if you could say a prayer for him. I’m just hoping he does not suffer and goes peacefully.

Here is a link to a short clip of dad on one of our more memorable trips. The voice in the background is his brother.

And a pic of some of the days catch with a few beverages of choice.

    Thanks Mike,

There are a lot of good memories and thanks to technology I will always have some video of our trips with family. The next fishing trip will be a tough one.

So sorry to hear… prayers sent to your father and to you as well. It’s tough to lose a loved one – especially when they’re also your best fishing partner.

Sorry to hear this and prayer and thoughts out to your dad and family.

24 years ago I went through the same thing. So I can say I kind of know how you feel.

I can tell you that the memories stick with you. My dad preferred golfing, but he always found time to take me fishing.

You have my thoughts and prayers. It’s a tuff road but eight years years later fishing with my dad are still some of my fondest memories. Again my family will say a prayer for you and your father

At mom and dad’s now, dad has gone downhill rapidly. We do not expect him to make the weekend.

Thank you all for your prayers and kind words. I will probably be off the net for a few days.

We lost dad yesterday afternoon. It was very strange, he passed at 4:19. Not sure on the exact second. It was not my best birthday but I will not have a hard time remembering the date.

He went peacefully at home with family at his side.
