I myself don’t drive on the ice with the exception of my wheeler sometimes. At age 55, the walk does a body good. When the snow builds up,then I will switch to the wheeler. I was always curious how it would be paid for, but even with comp., I’m still not going to do it. Good post.
February 23, 2012 at 2:08 am #1041921How about that. I was always under the assumption that you pay for it out of pocket and that insurance doesn’t cover it. I always feared what dropping a truck through would set me back. You consider recovery, paying off the truck and getting a new one, that’s a good chunk of change.
February 23, 2012 at 4:40 pm #1042074I invested in a $250 1975 Arctic Cat Pantera this year, if it’s too far to walk I will use the snowmobile. Pretty cheap way to hit the ice and I can use it earlier and later than driving a vehicle on.
