Ice and Lakes Near Duluth

Spending some time next week up north near Duluth. What’s the ice looking like in the area? Any tips on lakes for pans and maybe some walleye? I’m not really familiar with the area so asking around.

People are on the harbor, that’s about it. Too much snow and slush everywhere else. Another option is going off at Silver Fox on Boulder lake but can’t drive out. $5 a day for access

Ah sounds a bit sketchy. How is the harbor? I’m originally from Duluth, but didn’t start ice fishing until I moved away. Never lose that respectful caution towards the big water though.
Twin cities area might have a bit more usable currently so I might have to do some before heading up.
