I have a bushnell trail cam that is on it’s 3rd or 4th season, and has always got the job done. I would normally get around 1000 pics on a set of batteries. The last 3-4 times I have placed the camera out, the batteries have died really quickly. The cam only took 50 pics and completely wiped out 8 Duracell batteries. Anybody ever seen this before or know what could be causing this?

I had a buddy that got a couple of packages of junk batteries in the past. Not likely but I would get a different batch and try them before sending it in. good luck, please share what you find out.

I agree with Todders. I’ve also stored my batteries in zip locks in the past and had that screw them all up.

I would bet it is the voltage regulator. I have had several go out in my cams(Bushnell and Moultrie) and that is exactly what they do. It’s a 40 cent part but unless you know what you are doing you have to send it in. I have had very good luck when I send in my Bushnell cams, even when they are way past warranty. You need to pay shipping, and sometime a repair fee, but the cam comes back like new.
