knife carry question

    so i live in iowa and have been combing through laws and im not getting any answers because they all seem to deal with concealed carry so here it is. i always carry a pocket knife but i would rather carry my hunting knife because i prefer fixed blades. the blade is roughly 6 inches and over all length is about 10. more specificly its the winchester model with the gut hook from walmart if yall are familiar with the model. i would obviously be carrying it on my belt. any help would be great. as i said, all im finding is for concealed carry and i aint gonna pretend to be smart where it comes to laws.

    just put the tapemeasure on it and the blade is only 4 inches so should be legal. i carried the knife on my side for 5 years or better in centerville, ia and never had a problem
