3-5″ on the spots we tried on Anglers ( Big Spirit) Wensday. Same bait as Andy different color though put gills crappies and perch in my bucket. We’ll be back out Sat againg trying our luck.

I just posted a report in the Ice Fishing thread. Bussey at Guttenburg has 5-6 inches of good ice under the snow.

I was out on a pond yesterday ( cedar rapids area ). The Ice was only 3″ thick with a ton of slush on it. Be careful but you should be ok if you pick your way out.

I’m hoping all that rain we got yesterday mixed with the snow and slushed it up. that should all be frozen now with the cold temps so we should gain from it. and now there’s no snow on the ice!! going for some sumo gills tomorrow.

things are good around here for foot traffic. We have had some good luck on Brown’s lake, lots of sorting but 8-9 inch gills are common along with some 10 inch crappie, and even a walleye thrown in, need to get over to Synders Bend and see if there are still some perch and the crappie seem to be bigger there also. Ice was 5″ in most areas, some slush so be careful. Keep the reports coming in.

Definately should. I have been fishing the little ponds over by palo but not getting into any good sized fish. Hoping to get out Sat and Sunday.
