Gear – how much and how many

I had a buddy over for beers the other night, he made a statement about how much hunting/fishing gear I had in the garage (Believe me it’s not nearly enough). He asked how many different species I hunted for and the asked how much money it all cost. (I would hate to know that actual amount,) Anyway I started looking around and I am sure that I would be considered a modest hunter compared too some.

    Waterfowl:
I have a trailer full of goose and duck decoys.
    Layout Blinds
    Waders
    Guns
    Ammo
    Dog
    Portable Kennel

    Upland
    Brush Pants
    Boots
    Dog
    Kennel
    Orange Pheasant Vest

    Deer
    Camo, Camo and more Camo
    Guns (Shot Gun & Rifle)
    Bows
    Rubber Boots
    Saftey Harnesses
    Rain Gear
    Scent Control
    Decoys
    Targets
    Stands

Like I said, it’s amazing how fast it adds up and I know this is just a brief overview. How many different Species does everyone hunt for. Just look around your garage or spare room some night. Do you think your insurance rider is big enough?

I am not going to think about it, but I will say it will never be enough, because there might be that one day or situation…besides if I don’t know I can’t explain to my boss!

My friends call my 3rd stall garage (at home) “my Gander Mtn. Garage.” It’s only a 14′ x 32′ stall. All my larger stuff (i.e.; decoys, waders, stands, canoe’s, archery targets, ice fishing stuff, etc.) is stored at the cabin though. ….Enough said?
I never say a thing about the wife’s shoes.
