Just wondering how everyone deals with high water when fishing for channels and flats. I would imagine you are looking for slower current but does anybody have any other tips, I am struggling even to get little fiddlers and it looks like the high water is going to be around for a while.

We tried a little on the croix yesterday. Set up on a few current seams. Figured other fish (food) are using those seams the cats should be using the also. Good plan but didnt catch any cats.

Found myself seeking out these little chubby prespawn bundles of joy and did quite well working deep cut banks laden with wood and heavy current. Roughly 20′-30′ deep for the bigs, right off the bank break.

Seriously dirty water conditions… Many a 20′ log hit the boat this weekend. Lots of floating debris too.
Cleaning of live every 5-10 minutes.

    Probably 20 over 10#, biggest 18#.
