Helix vs LX-5- FL-18

I have somewhat retired from ice fishing. Spending most of the winter down south. May get a couple in early or late. I have a LX-5, FL18, VS825sd and an Aqua-veiw. Thinking about selling them all, and using the Helix 7 off my Kayak for ice fishing. Then buying another unit for my boat. Now that guys have used them a few years. Wondered how the Helix compares to a flasher, better and worse. Searching prior posts. Battery life was worse, but will probably use lithium battery. Or 2-9a box I use in my Kayak.

They work great Ger a lithium battery and you are good to go.

Agreed.. I still love my LX-7 Marcum, but find myself going with my Helix 7 far more now & mounted it to a Marcum shuttle for the lithium battery run time.

Love my Helix 7 both on the boat and on the ice. Whatever kind of shuttle you use for it make sure to use a lithium battery to reduce weight.
