    Heading to Cokato Minnesota to go ice fishing this weekend.. Heard about 8-12 inches of ice! We have 3-7 inches near madison lake, when do you think the fish will biting the best with the warm weather.. Morning, Noon, evening? Thanks in advance

    Evening, about one hour before and after sunset seems to be best. This is when I have had the most success catching Crappie and Bluegills. Perch seem to bite better in daylight for me, and not so much after dark.
    I have also heard early morning before sunrise is good. I’m heading out this morning to test this.
    They also say the Walleye bite is better at night in general.

    I fished White Bear Lake and Phalen today. Caught a lot of small perch on Phalen and had a good size fish on on White Bear but it came off the hook.
