    Fellow IDOers,
I’m gearing up for next spring and on my list of many items is a quality, inexpensive locater/gps. I found a new Humminbird 757 with all the hardware included for roughly $374! My questions are, is this a decent unit for the money or should I be looking for something better? I mainly fish Northwestern Wisconsin and usually take 2 trips every year to sunset country in Ontario… The only difference this year is, I’ll be taking my own boat. Thanks for your responses!

The 757 has a low resolution compared to similar units so the picture is not the best. And, it won’t accept Lakemaster map cards either. I thihk you’d be better of looking at a color Eagle unit in that price range, or spending more cash and getting something like a Humminbird 917C or a Humminbird 788C. It really depends on your budget and what quality of unit you are looking for. The 788 and the 917 both accept Humminbird Lakemaster cards which I highly recommend.
