I know the water is still pretty cold, but I was wondering if you guys think these are ‘gill beds. I think they look like them, but I was hoping to get some second opinions. Found them in deeper pockets adjacent to shallow weed flats.
Possibly, gill beds sometimes look like “old tires”, check Jason’s past posts as he had some deep water gill beds from SI. With the current cold month of June, deep water spawning might be more pronounced due to being a more stable environment temp. wise—nights have been too damn cold.
