Great Fishing before the cold front!

Prior to the cold Temps rain and even snow we have gotten here in sodak we had some great fishing patterns developing. Shallow plug bite as well as walleyes were loving 3 to 4 inch swimbaits. Top colors are #8 x raps in clown and blue with moss back shiner taking fish during non peak bite times. A bit of an extra delay between jerk on the x rap has proved for some very interesting and hard hits at dusk. 3/8 oz swim heads with either white or Chartreuse tails are also working well.
Look for fishing to improve with the weather, been a fun spring so far. Got Meghan a 28 the other night which was awesome as well as enough picture fish to make everyone happy. Good luck to everyone headed out -QB

Great post! Had similar experience in Minnesota for the opener throwing a jerkbait. My buddy said there’s no way I would catch any walleye on a jerkbait. After the third one, he tied one on. Great fishing all day with the jerkbait…small and largemouth, pike, walleye, and even a little musky. All on a megabass in the perch pattern smothered in some fish attractant.
