I would like to buy a new GPS handheld but I’m having a hard time pulling the trigger. The reason for looking at the oregon 650T is for a few reasons. 1) I like the idea of a bigger than normal screen 2) It looks to have the nice camera feature 3) The download capacity seems to be pretty large. I could put a few more reasons down but would rather hear from you. I havn’t heard anybody talk about this unit yet and the reviews are mixed, any input would be great. Thank you, Ray.

I don’t have the Oregon but I have an older Colorado. I recently downloaded the Midwest lake maps and am very happy. For about $100 you get all of the old lakemaster data for the Midwest including LOTW. No chips to deal with because it’s all loaded into the memory of the actual unit.

I have to assume the Oregon is no different. Fantastic accuracy too. I personally wouldn’t want a touch screen unit but it appears that’s the direction we’re headed for everything.
