Went out of Fairport this past Saturday to chase some eyes and steelies. Ran out N/NE about 14 miles to the 59N/20W line. Setup and trolled south with the waves. The sun was shining and the lake had a nice 1-3ft rolling chop.

I setup with my typical 10 rod program, it consisted of the following.

    Left side

    Big planer board out

3 board rods with 40 jets, 100 back with scorpion spoons and worm harness

1 big dipsey rod on a three setting, 175 back with a scorpion spoon

1 downrigger set between 35-55 feet with a black/purple silverstreak spoon

    Right Side

    Big planer board out

3 board rods with 20 jets, 100 back with scorpion spoons and worm harness

1 big dipsey rod on a three setting, 125 back with a scorpion spoon

1 downrigger set between 25-35 feet with a Denver bronco pro king spoon

The bite wasn’t that great so we ran thru a lot of different depths and colors. We ended the day with 10 eyes and 11 steelies in the box. Most of them were in the 24-26″ range, here are a couple of them…

Here are a few of the Michigan stinger colors that took fish for us.

    -Hammered gold watermelon

    -Copper backed blueberry muffin

    -Confusion

    -Shrimp

    -OJ Simpson

Speaking of OJ, here is nice one that tried to take a bite out of him.

Great pics and nice fish, Jason! I especially like the details in your reports of your setup. Thanks again!
