Yesterday 4 buddies and I decided to head to Red for the afternoon. We went out of Rogers, talked to a few people and they said it had died off pretty good since the wind came threw. We decided to head out and down to the right past all the house in about 11 fow.

From 1:30-4:30 we caught about 40 fish and all had a limit to go home with. It wasn’t fast and crazy, we had a lot of lookers. Overall though it was a good trip. Most of our fish were 15-17″ with a few in the slot.

For me my best lure was a red Frostee with just a shiner head or a chartreuse Rattl’N Flyer. The other guys had good luck on the Frostee, Buckshot and Stop Signs.

Here is a pile we picked up on our first afternoon last week. We were fishing about 1 mile east of Rogers in 9.5 feet of water. Most anything dropped down the hole got bit. We must have caught close to 30 that afternoon. That bite died the next day as the area became more populated and generators buzzing.

We found fresh fish in an area that we had all to ourselves.
