1.) What is the solution for 2011 and 2012 stadium for the Vikings?

2.) NFL and expansion team – Do you think the Vikings are leaving Minnesota if they don’t get a stadium?

    3.) Quarterback for 2011?

4.) What will the feedback be from playing in TCF Stadium? Actually should be really interesting for TV Fans. Players and Live Fans might not like it.

    Interested is some thoughtful responses.

I’m only interested in #2 as I cannot support a bunch of overpaid moron’s that give little or nothing back to society. I know a few do but very few…. Like a bunch of parasites sucking the life out of communities… Back to the question – please don’t move the Vikes as it would place many more anglers on the water at one of the best times of the year, LOL!

Seriously it sure adds some “entertainment” if you can call it that. Just look at the posts on this site and the emotion that gets amped up as the crazy crap happens…. Good stuff if you take it with a grain of salt. I don’t imagine it’s too fun if you are really serious.

    My 2 cents.

    1. They will extend the lease when the new stadium bill is passed. Yes Bk, a new stadium is coming. I would like to thank all of you tax payers now.

    2. No. If anyone moves, it will be Jacksonville. All the NFL experts talked about last year was moving them because of no fan base.

    3. Lord only knows. We don’t even have a head coach yet. The next two years are going to be rebuilding in my opinion. We need O line players, D line players, Defensive backs and a QB.

    4. I really wish I could go, but know my motivation come Monday just won’t be there to drive downtown, park and hoof it with all my ice fishing gear on. I pray the new stadium isn’t downtown!!! It’s probably the biggest limiting factor of me going to games now days. That and the dome isn’t family friendly at all, I have 3 daughters who I could never take to the restroom there by myself.

I know many will disagree with this, but being old enough to remember Tarkenton (sp) and crew playing in ridiculous weather conditions (beatiful!!!) I always thought they should have stayed outside. We still play outdoors in Chicago, as does Buffalo and New England.

I’m glad they’re playing the game in Minnesota this time, I hope the MN fans can fill the place and have a great time watching football the way it was meant to be played!

Really dissapointed in the Vikes this year, I was thinking it might be a three horse race in the NFC north and maybe Favre had one more run left in him.

I don’t think the Bears are going to lose this one with Joe Webb at QB… AP is going to have trouble running on ice and the Viking D has not played well much of the year… The return (Hester/Manning) game will give the Bears great field position much of the game for several Robbie Gould field goals… Bears 20 Vikings 10… that cinches the division for the Bears!

It was reported someplace this week that the NFL wants 2 teams to move to LA. Most likely it’s just more extortion tactics like we have seen before. If they go they go. I’m not the guy you will hear begging for a expansion team if they do go. Although there will be plenty of that just as there was when the Pig moved the North Stars to Dallas.

Kooty, no need to worry about a downtown stadium. This whole thing is about a huge development very similar to what New England did. Ziggy wants to develop shops, restaurants, condos around the stadium. So even if they were offered the dome site I think Ziggy would say “no thanks.”

I think that enough people have finally figured out that there is no payback for a new stadium. Financially it just doesn’t work. You don’t payback the debt service on a project that size with only 10 football dates a year.

But as I said earlier this week. It doesn’t matter what me, you or anybody else thinks. This stadium is being jammed up our so be ready to pay for it.

So these guys are saying that the field at TCF is dangerous? I have played on artificial turf! I can tell you that the only difference between frozen ground and concrete, or turf they call it, is that the frozen ground is cold! I can’t believe that they are still complaining about this.

    You forgot;

    5. Is there going to be a season next year with the players union looking at striking or a lockout?

I’ll volunteer an answer for #3…….

Donovan McNabb will more than likely be available…
Do the Pack a favor and pick up another has-been

McNabb? no thanks. But we would be willing to pick up a quarterback with a Super Bowl win under his belt, no matter which team he won it with.

Guess we won’t need to look at the Packers for one anytime soon.

I don’t know what/where/when you played on turf…but to compare turf to frozen/icy ground is not even close. The outdoor pro stadiums like Soldiers Field (Chicago) have HEATED fields with warm water pipes underneath…or they have thermal covers to prevent freezing.
Both Vikes and Bears players are concerned about career ending injuries…you can wear tennies on turf but nothing helps on ice…
This was another of many stupid moves by Viking management.

I sure dont want to pay for a stadium out of my pocket but the Vikings will get one,one way or another.I just hope it goes by way of a state run casino.

10 points? There’s like a 10% chance they score that many.

To be fair the government supports ALOT of over paid morons in various parts of the economy. Not to mention this $$ wouldn’t even go to the players. IT’s not like the players have a stock option and any vested interest in the team or stadium outside of winning a super bowl. IT would be for the owner. I think NOT supporting this one would hurt a good deal, Not only would it create jobs for building a new stadium, but it would keep jobs in bars and restaurants and such. Just sayin’.
Trust me I’m not a fan of paying for the rich to get richer, but at least the team does inadvertently give something back. Not sure how much those banks that the entire country bailed out give back to the community, but I know they can throw some serious parties.

Sorry it’s just a topic that drives me nuts….

Now on to the rest. Who will be the QB? ummm Who should it be? A rookie… Who will it be? I’m sure they can find washed up near retiring QB to come over.

Will they move? I would say the chances are slim to non and rumor has it slim left town.

Yeah, i hope you are right on that one. But, Aaron Rogers and the Pack have a lot to say about that. A GB win today and Chicago needs to keep on winning. Very well may come down to that January 2 game in GB. Would be exciting, but I sure hope the Bears can clinch before then. You know what they say about payback, and GB is ready to dish some out…as they say revenge is a dish best served cold! And, it does get pretty cold up there in Jan!

My question… why does LA always get a team and then lose them ?? The Rams…the Chargers….the Rams…the Raiders… seems they lose them becuase they can’t fill a stadium and have TV blackouts ??? Really sounds like the Vikings would last there either ???

Wouldn’t matter if they last there or not.
The NFL model requires the city to put up the stadiums and the owners and the NFL to reap the rewards.

The NFL signed 9 billion dollars in TV contracts. Once they have a stadium failure is very unlikely. Jacksonville may be the exception to every rule. Could it be that Northern Florida is all about college football?
