With all of the rain we’ve had recently I decided to head down to a local dam with the Marcum to see what this new current dragged in. I was expecting cats or suckers and was surprised to see ALOT of bluegills(and a few bass) in the fast current. They were in constant motion feeding and kinda fun to watch. Might be a good time to get the kids out fishing one more time for the year!

Yep…Presidents of the United States of America. It sure seemed to fit the way those little guys carried on. I had to add it

That is a perfect video of feeding gills waiting for something to go past there Pie Holes ….also love the way the tune fits right in with the atmosphere

Them fish on current like that will pound a Flu Flu….. save the bait

You can see in the video how gills work together…call me nuts but read this and watch the video again

At first you will see gills slippin’ backwards in the current as others move forward. The gills at the front are feeding while the ones slipping into the back are taking a break. The feeding fish are all about a reaction bite in this video. The gill that feeds right in front of us……what do you think he was hitting? Myself, I think he was hitting a clump of whatever on the way past to give it a taste

A sensitive UL rod is key, better yet in my book, a pencil bobber barely staying afloat while my offering cruises just off of the bottom headed down river.

I am very impressed in the quality of it. The boat control was equally as impressive.

    Which MarCum are you using?

Thanks twister, I was using an 825C. I was actually on shore and would get the camera into the right spot and let it sit right on the bottom. 10 seconds later the fish would come right back…
