Auugh I hate that. I always screw it up…I’m right with ya. I just open the picture and rename it it with .jpeg at the end. Then I resize it to 400×600 pixels for upload.
February 15, 2010 at 5:28 am #842559jpeg is compatable, they are probably just too big.
I resize with http://www.irfanview.com/ so easy my wife can do it.
February 15, 2010 at 5:35 am #842563Or ImageResizer.. http://www.microsoft.com/windowsxp/Downloads/powertoys/Xppowertoys.mspx
Once downloaded “run” all you do is right click any picture and it will re-size the picture while keeping the original pic intact.

It says only jpg gif png are the ones compatable
If you’re talking about the error message that the IDO photo manager spits out, more than likely your photos are just to large. Most cameras take jpegs by default.
The “only jpg gif png are the ones compatible” error shows up if they are jpg’s but just too large.
Resize to 1.5 megs and I’m betting you’ll be good to go.

February 16, 2010 at 6:52 am #842873I guess I’m really dumb because I dont want to download anything more to the computer and trying to do the steps on this one I have no idea how to change any of it. Oh well.

Try the shrinkpictures website posted above. You don’t have to download anything to your pc as this particular tool is web based. http://www.shrinkpictures.com/
Basically you upload a pic. Tell it what size you want and it spits you out a re-sized pic in .jpg format.
February 16, 2010 at 11:57 pm #843081I got it figured out last night. Thanks to James. I was just not linking my photos to the website. Thanks again everyone.
