Caught this in DL ND, 29.5″ 10lbs. Now I just need to talk to BK to figure out how to make an avatar.

Since it is so fat it looks short. That’s one nice fish.

Great fish – I miss fighting those tanks in the trees – it’s almost like combat!

Dodging the stumps was intersting. FYI I CPR’ed the fish, hopefully I can find it again this winter.

Great fish! Those DL ‘eyes are cool looking. Big bodies, little heads. They grow so fast from the freshwater shrimp that their heads don’t keep up!

Any other highlights from the trip?

When laying on it’s side, it looks heavier than 10lbs. I gotta get back up there. That is such a fun fishery!! Throw in an occasional ski/pike and the trees are a fun place to be!!

Other highlights were the first “walleye” spot we tried my wife pulled in a 33-34″ norhtern that went about 9-10lbs and a 31″ that went 8-9lbs. She had a blast fighting them, I used the same pole but with a different colored jig on the big eye that I got. We caught a lot of fish but most were smaller but the good eating size. I had my mom and wife with so I stuck with bobber fishing for them so that we had plenty of action. Never had much of a chance to troll or toss cranks. Next time.

That’s a dandy fish there!! I’m headed up there for a tournament the last week in July!! I hope I weigh a few like yours. Congrats again.
