Just watching the news break now that there was a plane crash in New York this afternoon. Sounds like they hit some birds on take off that took out both engines. The plane landed in the Hudson River and did not break apart. I also heard that all passengers and crew are accounted for and safe. Someone was really watching out for this plane!!
Thats a good update, I was fearing the worst for the passengers…that water must have been absolutely freezing! Very good job on the part of the pilots to put it down softly, this could have all been much worse.

I watched on TV one of the witnesses say that the pilot pulled the nose up right before landing it on it’s belly.
Yes it could have been alot worse, that’s for sure.
I work w/ people in Jersey City and also in downtown Manhattan. They had a 1st hand view of 911 when it happened and were awfully shook up watching this today.
What a relief that everyone is safe. Pretty amazing.
I wonder if those birds that hit the engine had any lead in their stomachs. We might be to blame.
