Just caught the end of a dirty jobs episode. They were trapping leaches up in northern mn. At the end of the show they fried some up and were having a feast. They just cut a little vein out. They even ate a few raw.

So if you don’t catch anything you can still eat. Someone let me know how they really taste I guess you can fry just about anything though and make it somewhat edible.

Yep, I about gagged when the dude ate a raw one. I knew the camera guy was gonna eat one, he eats anything. But a leach?? I’m not even sure I can spell the sound I made when I saw it. Yuck comes to mind.

I watched that too. I think I’d try the deep fried leeches.

Dang that was gross. Nothing like making the MN man look kinda like a goof.

It was interesting to see how they catch em. Not bad money but I wonder how many guys split it. And, I didn’t catch if they mentioned how long the harvest season is,, 2 months, 3 months? If a guy could do that all year it would be a very nice living.

Wait till they get a Tape worm from that.
I dont remember were I saw it, but I read a story of a guy that was in Canada and ate some under cooked walleye and got a tape worm,
the story made you want to burn the crap out of your fish before you ate it.

Was that the one where he had to call his wife into the bathroom to help pull it out? I saw that on Discovery a few years back. That is true love!!!

Yeah, you don’t HAVE to make a WI resident look that way. Pretty much a bred in trait.

    Or was that inbred?
