Right, that is why when someone spots off about how they would have stopped one of those mall shootings, it shows he didn’t learn that in the class that unless his life was in danger, we would have been breaking the law. I think most people who do C & C are responsible, but the few who are not, yikes. And these athletes fall into that second category.
Oh, and if Burress was that concerned that he needed protection and be armed, it looks like he could have gotten a permit, or at least attempted (and maybe he did – doubt it).
New Jersey is a very restrictive state but does issue CCW licenses to qualified residents. New Jersey also issues CCW licenses to honorably retired law enforcement officers who are residents.
New York City and New York State are restrictive but do offer concealed carry gun permits to qualified residents who show a need to be armed. New York City and New York State routinely issue concealed carry pistol permits/gun licenses to honorably retired federal, state and local law enforcement officers who are residents of the state.
