Ice Breaker tourney starts tomorrow night at Xcel. Gophers take on RPI and either Boston College or Michigan Sat night.

Again we lost key players to the NHL. But it happens every year. Some good looking freshman coming up though. Goalie Alex Kangas from Rochester Mn will be the one to watch this year..

    Let the games begin..

OK being from Grand Forks I’m sure your thinking here it comes, but I have got to be one of the biggest GOPHER fans in in town. It should be a close WCHA race this year and great hockey.

Last years USA Hockey magazine said it best “The Gophers don’t rebuild, they reload.” Its an amazing program and I am glad my parents got me hooked on Gopher hockey at a young age. My friends know that its not worth calling between 7-9:30 on Friday or Saturday nights once the season starts. I guess they did something right.

Although this time of year is great because of hockey, hunting, and fishing, it also presents a terrible problem. My girlfriend has season tickets to Gopher hockey. As hoped for, she invited me to the first game of the season but I am headed to pheasant camp. Tough decision, but there will be other games I hope.

If she needs a ride to the game I would more than happy to take her there, pay for parking etc. Take your seat

    p.s. ( I am only joking!!!)

I expected something like that after I reread my post. I would be the first to extend that offer to yours or anyone’s significant other.

I would wager to say that the same is true for reloading in many cases. Minn, WI, NDakota, CC, MI, MIState, BC, BU and I am sure many others. Hockey is just growing and growing… To my glee hockey season is starting, having to have to watch FSN from WI we are only allowed Friday night games on DirectTV, but there are also four other games on. Saturday night, its either the Bucks (the NBA sucks!!!, especially on TV) I have to get my fix from the Gophs, so as long as they are not playing the Badgers, they get my support on Sat. nights!!! Got to love the fall!!!!!!!!!!!!

Well as a fan of red and white and UW Bucky I have to say that the 3 game series this weekend between the Gophs and Mankato was some great hockey.

It sure was a wild weekend for Gopher Hockey this weekend. There is no bigger fan than me…but they really need to pick up the pace as they go forward from here. I just didn’t see the “Pop” in the passing and the intensity in the offensive zone.
It is great to see the boys going to St. Paul!
