Going up by ELy this coming weekend! We will be canoeing in, so is there any tips on where and what tackle to bring! We’re mainly fishing for walleye! We’ve had luck with the evening bite in a cork and leech, but if it’s anyhting like the LOTW a jig head usually does pretty good!
Any help woulld be great! 
when i fish Namaken, for walleye, i look for rocky points sticking up in the middle of small channels between islands or cliffs.. bouncing jigs with leeches off the bottom works. i dont know how active they are yet ( i had a nice walleye follow on Whisper lake on thurs.) but a rattling crankbait that dives to the rocks also works well, usually mid to later summer..
