Hi guys. Just wanted to get some info on the conditions of the lands on Pool 4&5 (Preferrable the free ones). We’re heading out on Thurs morning and didn’t want any delays/suprises when we get there. Also, if anyone has a suggestion on which pool would provide us a better chance for a bunch of ‘eaters’, I’d appreciate the advise. We’re second year veterans heading out for the first time this year and hoping for some luck. Thanks.
Pool 5 landing is wide open. A lot of good action on pool 5 right now. Vertical jigging the main channel has been everyones bread and butter right now.
If you are looking to stay away from the crowds pool 5 is a great place to be.
Landing is on the south end of town next to the power plant.
If you are thinking of fishing pool 4 your best bet is Evert’s the ramps are always in great shape and the fishing tips are free. The public ramp on the WI channel is open but it is very broken up (I made the mistake of landing there last year) Bay point as of last thurs looked like it was still frozen when I drove by.
